Virginia v. Tennessee: 8 Key Players

College football Saturday's will be back this weekend and a good place to start the festivities would be catching the Virginia at Tennessee game. The game will kick off at noon ET, but won't be played in Knoxville. Instead they will face off at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Either way, the betting line is large as the Volunteers are heavy favorites. Tennessee has returned to national college football prominence while Virginia has a lot of question marks going into the season. But that's what makes college football special right? You have to play the games and upsets are sure to happen every season.

Kamp's Korner is going to give you 8 players, 4 from each team, that we think will play key roles in determining the outcome of the game.

TENNESSEE

Joe Milton (QB)

Milton has one of the biggest arms in the country and Coach Heupel will let him sling it. If he can even semi accurate with it, Tennessee probably wins this game.

Donte Thornton (WR)

Thornton looks like the replacement for Jaylin Hyatt. The Oregon transfer is a different type of threat though. He's fast as can be and averaged over 21 yards per reception last season. Sounds like a great fit with Milton's big arm doesn't it?

Roman Harrison

Harrison has a chance to feast on what was a really bad Virginia offensive line last year. He had 7 tackles for loss and 3 QB hurries last season.

Aaron Beasley

Beasley might just be too good for Virginia's unproven offense. He's on the Chuck Bednarick Award Watch List and had 15 quarterback hurries last year.

VIRGINIA

Tony Muskett (QB)

Muskett is a transfer from Monmouth that threw for over 5000 yards and over 40 TD's. Those are impressive numbers, but this is certainly a big step up. The key question is obviously how well his game transfers to this level.

Kobe Pace (RB)

Pace is a transfer from Clemson that I personally think that many people are overlooking. He suffered the injury bug last year, but his sophomore season was a different story when he rushed for 641 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Jahmeer Carter (DT)

Carter is a returning starter from a pretty decent defense last year. It could be huge if he can clog the middle and make a highly regarded but unproven Milton beat them through the air.

Coen King (CB)

King is the most experienced corner on the team and he'll be challenged with slowing the Tennessee passing attack. Tennessee will probably attack downfield which makes King even more important.
