GEICO 500 PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS

The NASCAR Cup will be at the Talladega Superspeedway today for the GEICO 500. The track is 2.66 miles with an intimidating banking. Kyle Busch won the race last year, but can he break a bit of a slump and repeat in 2025? The race will being at 3PM ET. Kamp's Korner is going to give you our 3 favorites and a sleeper for the GEICO 500.

KAMP'S KORNER FAVORITES

Ryan Blaney

There's a reason that he seems to be one of the odds on betting favorites. It's a pick that just seem to make the most sense. He won the YellaWood 500 which was his last trip to Talladega and has finished in the top 2 in 2 of his last 3 at the track.

Chase Elliott

Elliott burst back on the scene last week with a win a the Texas Motor Speedway. Could this be like a star basketball player needing to hit that 2 shot to break out of a shooting slump? Could be. And we can't ignore his last 4 races at Talladega. Elliott has finished top 7 in the 3 of his last 4, including a win in 2022.

Joey Logano

Logano should be considered a very real threat to win at the GEICO 500. He got off to a slow start this season, but has picked it up a bit as of late. His in season rise could culminate at a track that he has a history of success at. Logano has finished outside of the top 10 only twice in his last 10 starts there. However, none has led to a win.

Kamp's Korner Sleeper

Kyle Larson

Larson most likely isn't even in the top 10 as far as the betting odds go. But at Kamp's Corner, we like what he could do today at the GEICO 500. Larson is simply one of the best passers behind the wheel in the Cup Series. That should play well on a track that's actually known for a more forgiving track to pass on.
