The fall is approaching in Michigan and that means that high school football season is almost here. There were some players recently pointed out on social media by fans/peers/etc as players to watch this coming season. Let's take a look at these trending talents.
Kaelin Tate (2027, Safety / Slot, Paw Paw)
I'm very familiar with Tate as a high level basketball prospect. Didn't surprise me that he's drawing attention on the football field. He's an aggressive and physical athlete and that bodes well for him in both sports. Tate has fast feet and good hip movement. He looks to start on defense as a sophomore and could get the nod both ways.
Wynn Diegal (2027, QB, Midland Dow)
Diegal is another prime example of a multi sport star. He has natural leadership abilities and that shows in the leadership positions that he plays. Diegal is a rising point guard prospect on the hoops scene and a talented young quarterback. He's shown some impressive arm strength in recent 7 on 7's.
Bradley Boyk (2027, WR / Slot / Athlete, John Glenn)
Boyk is a name that is building steam as the fall approaches. He's a very fast and versatile athlete. Boyk can blaze by defenders with separation type speed. He has good body control and can go up and get the ball while maintaining solid hands.
Madix Gorleski (2027, QB, Vasser)
Gorleski is a young QB that fans and coaches will want to take a look at. The 6-3 athlete has good size and balance. The ball comes out of his hand with some zip. The thing I really like from some film is the way that he can thrown over the defense and drop it right into his receivers pocket.
Luke Gies (2027, WR / DB, John Glenn)
Gies is another John Glenn player that drew some attention. I really think that he could be an impact player on either or both sides of the field. Both offensively and defensively, he targets the ball high and up and gets it. Gies has shown the ability to pluck the ball away from the opposing receiver or defensive back.
