NASCAR's 2024 season is almost upon us. February 4 and the Busch Light Clash At The Coliseum will be here in the blink of an eye. There will be a lot of new storylines to follow in the new season. The growth of the Spire Motorsports team and the young talent involved in it could be one of the more interesting things to watch. Let's look at the drivers representing Spire Motorsports in NASCAR's 2024 season.
Corey LaJoie
The driver out of Charlotte, North Carolina is the veteran of the group. At 32 years old, LaJoie has 200 races to his name. He had a 5th place finish at the Duel last year and finished 4th in Atlanta early in the season and Talladega late in the season. He struggled at the end of 2023 though, finishing no higher than 17th in the last 5 races and finishing 20 or below in 7 of the last 10.
Carson Hocevar
Hocevar, a Michigan native, will have a lot of eyes on him as he is expected to compete for Rookie of the Year in 2024. He could be considered a front runner along with Kevin Harvick's replacement in the 4 car, Josh Berry. Hocevar will be driving the Number 77 Zeigler Auto Group Camaro. Hocevar has been a magnet for success for his entire racing career. We all saw him on the Cup Series for the first time in 2023 and he finished as high as 11th at the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Zane Smith
Smith, out of California, will be racing for Spire Motorsports in partnership with Trackhouse Racing. Smith comes in with his own track record of success. He was the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion. Smith finished in 2nd place in both 2020 and 2021. He was also the 2020 Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series Most Popular Driver. He'll be driving the number 71 in 2024.
