There has been a lot of great softball being played nationwide through the month of July. As a favor to college coaches and fans of the game, I'm going to introduce you to, or update you on, some talented softball prospects.
Jenna Fortenberry (2026, SS / Of, Steinbrenner High School, Florida)
Fortenberry had an impressive month of July. In Atlanta, she showed off her skills in the field and on the plate. Her reaction time to the ball off the bat was fast and she showed the she could track the ball. Fortenberry showed power at the plate with a homerun. All reports say that she had a very solid camp at the University of Tampa as well.
Savanna Hadley (2026, MIF / OF, Millville High School, New Jersey)
Hadley and her Stars National 16 u squad were in Atlanta and Hadley put her game on display. Her bat was pretty electric from all we've heard. The ball came off Hadley's bat with nice velocity and she hit a pretty straight line ball flight. She was able to spray the ball to the outfield from right center to left field.
Allison Wright (2025, P / OF, Jenison High School, Michigan)
Wright is quickly proving to be a very intriguing pitching prospect. She's been getting hitters to swing at balls rising and it's given her a really nice strikeout to walk ratio. Wright has controlled the strike zone and been in charge of almost every batter.
Loreale Blake (2025, INF, Santa Margarita Catholic High School, California)
Blake has been impressive on the diamond this summer. She continues to show that she can hit with power as well as hit to both sides of the field. Blake is pretty speedy on the base paths as well. Blake has a ton of potential as a middle infielder. She's quick to the ball with great footwork and control. Blake can throw comfortably on the move.
Madelyn Horner (2027, 3B / SS / 1B / OF, Cardinal Newman High School, Florida)
Horner is an exciting young softball prospect. She's a very talented contact hitter that any coach really likes to have on the base paths. Horner runs hard, quick and smart and maximizes on base opportunities. She's a prospect for coaches to keep an eye on.
