Grant Park 200 Preview And Predictions

NASCAR is coming to Chicago! The Grant Park 200 will wind through the streets with Grant Park and Lake Michigan in the background. The race is scheduled to start at 4PM on Sunday and will wind down iconic streets like Michigan Ave and Lake Shore Drive. The select Chicago streets have been transformed into a 2.2 mile street race track that features 12 total turns.

Chase Elliott seems to be the consensus favorite in a tough to pick because it's never been done before type of event. Elliott currently stands at about a +500 to win the Grant Park 200.

KAMP'S KORNER FAVORITES

Chase Elliott

Elliott ranks up there with the likes of Tony Stewart and Darrell Waltrip as one of the best road course racers of all time. If there's a road course, Elliott just has to be one of the favorites. Especially on a never before run course and a new event, go with the best.

Kyle Busch

The Chevrolet's have been exceptional on road courses so they can be a safe bet. Toyota has made improvements to their packages, but I think Chevrolet is still the best bet. Busch has been solid on road courses so that could transfer to the street race. He has +1000 odds.

Tyler Reddick

Reddick has quickly risen up the ranks as an elite road course racer. He's been pretty consistently in the top 10 and seems to have the ability to retain his position even under pressure on road courses. You can find Reddick odds at +650.

KAMP'S KORNER SLEEPER

Joey Logano

Logano is a great value pick with his odds standing at +3500. He's only averaging just over a 14th place finish on road courses. But that number is brought down significantly by a 28th place finish at COTA in March. Logano has actually finished top 6 in 3 of his last 6 road courses, including a 3rd place finish at Sonoma not even a month ago.
