GOODYEAR 400 PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS

The NASCAR Cup Series will travel to the Darlington Raceway for the Goodyear 400. Darlington is best known for cars coming away with the "Darlington Stripes" from riding the wall. William Byron won last year with Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.

William Byron

This is a very good pick. Byron has seen a lot of success in Darlington in the past. He finished in the top 10 in his last 3 races there and has 4 total top 5 finishes. 

Kyle Larson

This is the chalk pick of the day as most have him as the best odds to win the Goodyear 400. Last September he won in Darlington. But once in May of 2023 and twice in 2022, he finished outside the top 10. 2 of those finishes were 20 and lower. Still Larson seems to be capable of winning every race this year.

Tyler Reddick

I really like this pick. He has some very recent success in Darlington, seeing him finish 3 times in the top 3 in his last 4 starts there. His retro paint scheme being pulled out for the race should draw some attention as well.

We talked about past Darlington success with the drivers above. But Bowman doesn't have that history. What he does have is a bit of a NASCAR "heater", finishing in the top 10 in his last 3 races. It might be worth taking the odds that he continues his recent run and turns it into a Goodyear 400 victory.
