COOK OUT 400 PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS

The NASCAR Cup Series makes a trip to Richmond, Virginia and the Richmond Raceway. The Cook Out 400 is scheduled to start at 3PM. The Raceway is a 3 quarter mile D shaped oval track. Being one of the shorter tracks, race strategy should play a huge role in determining the winner.

Household names like Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson have all seen success at the Richmond Raceway. Who will take home the checkered flag this Sunday? Here are Kamp's Korner's throughts.

KAMP'S KORNER FAVORTIES

Martin Truex Jr.

Truex Jr. has finished top 5 in 6 of his last 8 races. Obviously it's a smart bet to take a driver that seems to be in every race. Not just that, but he has seen success on Richmond Raceway before, picking up a few wins. Seems obvious why Draft Kings has him at +450 to win.

Denny Hamlin

Hamlin is one of the best short track racers in the NASCAR Cup Series. He has 17 short track wins with 4 of them coming at the Richmond Raceway. Draft Kings have Hamlin sitting at +650 to win. He won last week in controversial fashion, so a win hear would hush a lot of voices.

Kevin Harvick

Harvick is always a threat on a short track and really know how to race on the Richmond Raceway. He's picked up 9 career wins in Richmond, Virginia. Draft Kings currently has Harvick at +750 to win. The cagey veteran driver is more than capable of getting the checkered flag.

KAMP'S KORNER SLEEPER

Alex Bowman

Hendrick Motor Sports has seen some success and some fast cars at the Richmond Raceway, as evidence of Kevin Harvick being listed above. Bowman would be a great top 5 bet where he's +400. He won on the track back in 2021 and earned the pole position in April of this year.
