Getting to the next level in baseball is extremely difficult. It's tough for players to find their landing spot and it's tough for coaches to see all the available talent. Well, here are 5 players the Kamp's Korner thinks that coaches at the next level should be aware of.
Chris Thomas (2024, C / MIF / OF, Clear Falls High School, Texas)
Thomas is a talented baseball player in the class of 2024. At the plate he hits the ball on a straight line and can go to either side of the outfield with it. Thomas looks very good as a defensive catcher as well. He's difficult to run against as he pops out of the crouch quickly and has a nice arm.
Connor Fitzgerald (2027, RHP / IF, Red Lion Christian Academy, Delaware)
Fitzgerald will embark on his high school baseball career in the spring, but he certainly looks ready for the challenge. As a pitcher he gets some movement on the ball and catches a lot batters standing and watching. Fitzgerald picks up a lot of K's this way. At the plate, he's a solid contact hitter that can move baserunners.
Ryan Rouse (2025, 1B / 3B, Genesee High School, Michigan)
Rouse is definitely a baseball prospect to keep an eye on. He's a multi sport star and a solid all around athlete. You can easily see that in the way he runs the bases. Rouse gets out of the batters box and builds up speed very quickly. He's always a threat to bunt and steal.
Caleb Neal (2027, RHP / 3B / OF, Wake Forest High School, North Carolina)
Neal will be a player to watch in North Carolina as he enters high school baseball. Neal is a really solid hitter that seems to see the ball very well out of the pitchers hand. Neal is very rarely late with his swing and always seems to be in control at the plate. He's a speedy baserunner as well.
Tommy Dutton (2024, RHP / 1B, Coon Rapids High School, Minnesota)
Dutton definitely has a future in the game of baseball. He's one of those consistent players that never seems to have a bad day. He especially shows that consistency with his bat. Dutton hits well with runners on base. He also has a quality arm and get to the mid eighties on the radar.
