There's some exciting basketball being played by Michigan athletes across the state and beyond. The class of 2027 has some really good players that are set up to have big weekends in both in numbers, game influence, or both. We're going to give you 5 players from Michigan to watch out for this weekend.
Devyn Reiger (2027, G/F, Canton, LGR 16u EYCL)
Reiger will be with her squad at the WPA Bruins Tip-Off. This athlete is one of the more underrated players in the state in my opinion. I love what she brings to the table, both currently and long term. Reiger is a true 3 level scorer that can spot up and bury a jumper as well as score athletically. But it's not just her offense. Reiger is a true 2 way wing.
Spencer Davidson (2027, F, Woodhaven, Factory 2027)
Davidson and the Factory will be in Flint for Get Ready. She's always a fun player to watch. She's strong and athletic, and there's no let up in her game. Davidson feels the court, keeps her head high, and reads the action. Terrific court awareness. She has the ability to push pace with the dribble and the pass. Davidson will play aggressively on offense, but also be very smart about getting good looks at the rim.
Lakelyn Weber (2027, G/F, Hudsonville, MBA UAA 2027)
The MBA UAA team and Weber has traveled to Pittsburgh for the WPA Bruins Tip-Off. Her versatility and unselfishness are absolutely a joy to watch. Weber can and will find lanes and cut and attack, both with and without the ball. She's an energy player and a willing passer. If you want to see grit and hustle, tune in.
Leigha Roberson (2027, F, Portland, West Michigan Drive)
Roberson will be pulling double duty playing 16u and 17u at the Battle In The Mitten. This is a player that's really figured out her game over the last year. Roberson can flat out dominate the paint. I really like the way she can go off 2 and step through defenders for a bucket. Roberson will play a big role in the success of a couple teams this weekend
Aubrey Hiller (2027, G, Manton, Mystics P24 2027)
Hiller and her Mystics team is playing at Get Ready this weekend. She's an exciting guard and is fun to watch when she uses her handles and speed with the ball. Hiller can use her quickness and shifty handles to pressure the defense. She has that same quickness on the defensive end, which helps play tight on the perimeter and force turnovers.
