With some quality local events in Michigan this weekend, there is some player highlights and video to watch. We're going to take a look at some that stood out to us on X.
Taylor Tuinhoff (2029, G/F, Central Montcalm / Stingers)
This seems like a name that we should be getting used to. Tuinhoff was solid with the Stingers at the Battle In The Mitten. She showed the ability to stop, play off 2, and use her pivot foot to create space. I also like her smooth transition on the catch and shoot. Tuinhoff even shows range on her jumper off the bounce.

Alexandria Brown (2028, F, Mona Shores / Hardwood Midwest 15u)
Brown suited up for Hardwood Midwest 15u. First of all, the video starts with a defensive play, which I love. She makes a block on the moves and pushes the pace with the bounce, but keeping her head up and hitting her teammate in stride with a pass up the floor. Brown also shows the instinct to fill a wing and keep the floor spread in transition.

Logyn Hill (2029, G, Homeschool / Macon 6 Basketball Academy
Hill was playing up and did way more than fit in. Her jumper off the catch was smooth and effortless with great feet. Hill looked really comfortable running the floor, both with and without the ball. The video shows a few crafty finishes at the rim. Hill also shows the ability to force turnovers on the defensive end.

Sophia Fraas (2027, G, Northville / Michigan Premier)
Fraas' team lost in the championship game at Battle In The Mitten, but she and her team had a very solid weekend. Fraas shows deep range on her jumper and the ability to shoot through a closeout. She can attack off the bounce using both hands.
Arisara McDonald (2026, F, Rochester, Ladies F1RST)
McDonald and her squad could be found at Attack The Rack. The thing that stands out the most to me in her video wasn't just that she made 3's or the way the shot looked. It goes deeper. It was the way that McDonald found and attacked open space on the perimeter, working off the ball to get looks at the rim in the first place.
