Player Impressions - Tecumseh @ Blissfield

Tecumseh traveled to Blissfield for a matchup between 2 talented, and unbeaten, basketball teams. Tecumseh led most of the game after a pretty quick start from Blissfield. Tecumseh won by a final score of 70-38, but it was a closer game than the score may indicate. Blissfield was actually only trailing by 9 with 3:44 left in the 3rd quarter. This was a game that featured a lot of talented basketball players. We're going to give you some of our player impressions fron this game.

Addi Zajac (2027, F/C, Tecumseh)

Zajac was simply outstanding last night. I rarely keep track of points scored when I evaluate, but she scored and scored a lot. She simply dominated the paint. Zajac's domination started with consistently establishing position around the rim. As soon as she caught the ball, she was in a high percentage situation. Zajac did an excellent job sealing defenders and using good offensive footwork. She showed the ability to finish over both shoulders as well as take a feed over the top and score.

Makayla Schlorf (2026, PG, Tecumseh)

Saginaw Valley State is getting a gem in guard Makayla Schlorf. Let's start with her D. She played very good perimeter, without getting at all handsy. It was her footwork and quickness that got the job done. Schlorf showed off her excellent start-stop speed and blow by speed. This allowed her to attack the rim, touch paint and finish. Schlorf did a great job pushing and controlling the pace with both the pass and dribble. She picked up an assist with a down the floor pass and took a rebound and pushed it down the floor where she scored and drew a foul.

Leigh Wyman (2026, PG, Blissfield)

Wyman showed off an impressive skill set in this game. She definitely has the ability to both score and distribute. Either way, Wyman was constantly and consistently looking to make plays throughout the game. As far as her passing, she had a nice kick pass to a teammate on the block, a drive and kick for an assist on a triple, a dump off in the lane and even an inbound pass that led to a score. Wyman was very good off the bounce last night. She was able to attack using both hands and she showed off a nice right to left crossover that led to a floater finish and another that ended with an assist.

Alli Zajac (2025, F, Tecumseh)

Zajac is just that good and that talented. Her presence on the court alone is an advantage. Defenses have to account for her at all times. I love watching her play in large part due to her versatility. I feel like she could play and defend any of 3 positions, even at the next level. The Eastern Michigan commit showed her diverse offensive game last night, scoring in a wide range of ways. She beat the defense back in transition for a layup, she cut across the lane for a cut-catch-score and hit a catch and shoot triple from the top. Zajac had a pretty second level pass from the mid range where she fed the ball to Addi for the score.

Chloe Bullinger (2026, SG, Tecumseh)

Bullinger definitely caught my eye with her play against Blissfield. She did a really nice job of letting her defense lead the day. She seemed to have a nose for the passing lanes with at least 1 deflection and later in the game picking off multiple passes. Bullinger was also terrific in the way she passed the ball on time and on target. She led a teammate with a skip pass that led to a foul, had an over the top post feed that led to an assist and had a crosscourt kick pass for an assist on a 3 pointer. Bullinger scored off a cut and catch and also had a shifty take off a loose ball for a bucket.

De'Miya Gibbons (2026, PF, Blissfield)

Gibbons is an intriguing prospect with a definite upside to her game. It was very apparent that she has both the strength and mindset to be able to play a physical brand of basketball against high level talent. Gibbons showed a knack for playing through contact and getting to the free throw line. She scored twice off of high percentage looks close to the rim. Gibbons was able to find space on one and able to power up fpr a bucket on the other.

Ashlyn Moorehead (2025, G, Tecumseh)

Moorehead is another versatile player for Tecumseh. She can and did play both on and off the ball effectively. Moorehead was at her best going north-south with the ball. She was able to touch paint and make plays. Moorehead had a nice spin and score, a transition 2 and even finished off 2 feet near the rim. She did a great job of putting defenders on her hip and keeping them there.

Peyton Tennant (2025, F, Blissfield)

Tennant looks like she will have a very solid senior season. She really tries to stay engaged and active near the rim and that did and will pay dividends. Tennant had an offensive rebound that ended with a put back bucket. She also drew a foul from the mid range.

Lauren Kilbarger (2025, SG, Tecumseh)

What an asset Kilbarger is. She could average 20 on a lot of teams in the state. She had a couple catch and shoot 3's, one from the top and the other from the corner. Kilbarger put her back to the basket on a mismatch and swooped to the lane for a righty finish.

AnnMarie Scharer (2028, G, Blissfield)

There's some excitement for the future with Scharer. She gave us a glimpse of what could be instore over the next few years. Scharer hit TWO volleyball line triples in the 4th quarter. She wasn't done there though. She also picked up 2 points with a tricky scooping score.

Maddy VanBlack (2026, SF, Tecumseh)

Talk about depth. VanBlack is a player and prospect that I've been very high on for years now. I liked the way she defended on the wing last night, using her length to cut off paths and driving lanes for her opponents. VanBlack scored off an offensive rebound and put back and had a nice touch pass for an assist.
