Player Impressions - St. Clair v. Yale

St. Clair and Yale squared off in an entertaining matchup. Yale came out victorious by a final score of 45-32. It was a well played game by both squads and featured some very intriguing talent. Let's take a look at some of the player impressions from this game.

Sadie Dykstra (2026, G/F, Yale)

Dykstra was doing Dykstra things in this game, proving once again why she should be considered an elite talent in the state of Michigan. Dykstra finished the game with 26 total points, so let's start with her offense in this game. She showed the ability to straight line drive to her right and had a couple tough baseline takes and finishes. She effectively used a shot fake to draw a foul and also showed her 3 point range. Dykstra has a game that extends way beyond her offense though. Her ability to distribute was on display against St. Clair. She had a pretty post feed through the D, a pin point pass up the floor for an assist and an on target lob post feed. Dykstra defended the dribble drive very well and was patient and effective dealing with any defensive pressure.

Gracie Pickelhaupt (2026, G, St. Clair)

Pickelhaupt definitely left her impression on this game. She was her team's leading scorer on the night. Her jumper looked solid, as she hit a triple over the top of a quickly closing defender. Pickelhaupt hit another 3 pointer off the bounce. She showed the ability to turn defense into offense with a steal and score. Pickelhaupt was even active on the glass with an offensive rebound and put back bucket. Even though she may not have finished on this particular play, I really like her use of the shot fake and a quick first step to go left. Pickelhaupt could use this move very often.

Alyssa Barr (2025, PF, Yale)

Barr was simply fun to watch in this game. She has a ton to offer as a player and a prospect. She played well as a back to the basket post. Barr showed strong hands on the post catch and drew fouls and finished with buckets off the block. She finished really nicely over her left shoulder. Barr also played well as a screener and showed the ability to roll off to the rim, catch the pass in traffic and finish it with points. She worked really hard on the glass against St. Clair on both ends of the floor. Barr used her length well defensively. She showed that she can engulf her opponent on the trap and create chaos.

Allie Komarowski (2025, G, St. Clair)

Komarowski's St. Clair team may have been defeated, but she showed that there is plenty of talent and upside in her game. She worked really well off the left side of the floor working right off the bounce. Komarowski showed some blow by speed with her ability to get going quickly with the ball. She showed a knack for drawing fouls when attacking the rim, going to the free throw line at least 8 times.

Aubree Churchill (2028, G, Yale)

Chruchill is a talented freshman to keep an eye on both now and in the coming years. She really has something to work with as far as her jumper. It's a really clean looking shot and she showed that she could groove it, hitting 2 catch and shoot rhythm triples. Churchill converted on a transition and 1 early in the game.

Aireonna Keller (2025, G, Yale)

Every winning team needs an Aireonna Keller. She played an unselfish and relentless style of basketball. Keller was more than willing to sacrifice and hit the floor for a loose ball. She was definitely a plus defender in this game. Keller showed that she could wall up and stand her ground on D.
