Player Impressions Playoff Version - Saline V. Ann Arbor Pioneer

Saline took on a confident and prepared Pioneer team in the District Semifinals. Pioneer was trying to avenge 2 regular season losses to Saline. The Hornets held the lead most of the game, but there was no quit in Pioneer. They continued to battle and eventually grabbed the lead in the 4th quarter. But the Hornets had the answer, hitting some huge shots late in the game and earning a 44-37 win. Saline will take on Dexter in the District Championship game on Friday at 6PM at Pioneer High School.

We're going to take a closer look at some players that stood out in the Saline victory.

Keira Roehm (2026, G, Saline)

Remember how we said that the "Hornets had the answer" above? Well, step aside Allen Iverson because Keira Roehm is now "The Answer". Saline needed points and she stepped to the plate. Roehm hit multiple late triples to take the lead back. Then she went to the stripe and buried 5 out of 6 free throws to help keep it until the buzzer sounded. Throughout the game Roehm showed the ability to create space and lanes off the bounce. Her blow by speed with the ball in her hands was on display multiple times in this game. Great work by "The Answer".

Jordan Davis (2026, F, Ann Arbor Pioneer)

Davis was solid against Saline. She was at her best as a downhill player. Davis was solid pushing the pace, even without the ball when she ran the floor, caught a feed, and scored on a flip in. She even pushed the pace with a pass when she connected on a down court feed to a teammate in transition for an assist. Davis was able to attack the rim and get to the line and  scored on a flip in off a dribble drive across the lane.

Halle Powell (2028, G, Saline)

Powell is a big time prospect for the Hornets. She mentally and physically ready for big stages. Powell just plays at a different speed with the ball. She went coast to coast with the ball for an easy lefty score. Powell used blow by speed, both hands and creativity to consistently put defenders on her hip. She didn't just score when she hit the paint, but also showed the ability to drive and dish.  Powell added a pretty mid range jumper off the bounce as well.

Tra'Nazje Bullock (2025, F, Ann Arbor Pioneer)

Rayford-Isom was a great representation of the Ann Arbor Pioneer grit and determination in this game. I think her teammates even fed off of it. She had a couple power buckets in the game, 1 coming off a put back and the other off the glass from in the lane. Rayford-Isom showed some speed with a fast first step on a drive and score and on a fast break bucket.

Kadyn Maida (2025, G, Saline)

Maida was a super steady senior leader. She was so active without the ball. Maida's movement kept the defense honest and forced rotations and movement. On time it even directly led to open space for Maida to attack and score. She picked up a steal in the game and showed that she could run the floor when she scored in transition.
