Player Impressions Playoff Version - Airport V. Tecumseh

The regional semifinals took place last night. Kamp's Korner went to see Airport take on Tecumseh. The host team Tecumseh, got off to a blazing hot start and never looked back. They came out pressuring the ball and the pass and creating chaos for Airport. Tecumseh earned a 24-6 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and never looked back. They won the game by a score of 74-29. This game was NOT an indictment on Airport. They're an excellent team, well coached with talented players. They just ran into the buzz saw that is Tecumseh right now. We're going to look at some of the players from both teams that definitely left an impression.

Chloe Bullinger (2026, G, Tecumseh)

Bullinger was nothing short of unstoppable last night. It was one of the better individual performances that I've seen this season. She scored in every way possible, from catch and shoot triples to the free throw line to a layup off an inbound play. Bullinger even drove the lane, drew the defense, and kicked out to a shooter for an assist. And it wasn't just her offense that was great last night. Bullinger was so quick and covered so much ground with her perimeter D. She even punched the ball loose, found space, and got the ball back and buried a 3. It gets even better. During all of this terrific play, Bullinger was seen hitting the floor and sacrificing for the loose ball.

Olivia Gratz (2026, G, Airport)

Even in defeat, you can easily see the Gratz has a lot of game. She's a talented guard that moves well and moves freely. Gratz really utilizes the head fake well, having the ability to straighten out or wrong foot her defender. She used that head fake to put a defender on her hip and draw a foul on a finish attempt. Gratz moved with and without the ball and did her best to find open space against elite defenders. She used her handles again on a pretty weaving drive and score.

Alli Zajac (2025, Wing/F, Tecumseh)

Zajac was so impressive in this game. She does such a nice job of letting the game come to her. This helps her be incredibly efficient, which she was again last night. Zajac had a righty power put up by the rim and followed that by running the floor and picking up a transition bucket. She showed some nice moves near the rim. First she went with her back to the basket and finished over her left shoulder with ease. Then she used a spin move to her left to create an easy lay in. Zajac also got behind the defense, collected the pass, and scored. She added another bucket on a cut, catch and score. Zajac had a highlight reel message sending block in the game as well.

Addi Zajac (2027, F/C, Tecumseh)

Addi Zajac has the rare ability to just flat out dominate games in the paint. It was her work on the offensive glass that spurred her dominance in the latest win. She had at least 5 put back buckets. That deserves some emphasis. That's 10 points directly off hard work and positioning. Zajac had a weakside put back that was probably the most impressive of all of them. The other thing that stood out last night in her game was her ability to pass the ball. She had 2 over the top post feed assists.

Brooklyn Martin (2028, F, Airport)

I really liked what I saw from Martin last night. She had a pretty post move that drew a foul and she connected on both free throws. Martin actually went 4-4 from the line and all of them were no doubters. She was an energy forward that didn't hesitate to hit the floor for a loose ball. Martin showed some real upside as possibly a floor stretching 4. She was comfortable on the perimeter and hit a pretty mid range elbow jumper.

Ashlyn Moorehead (2025, G, Tecumseh)

Moorehead was just so smart and effective with the ball in her hands. She had a pretty bounce pass post feed that sliced through the defense. Moorehead drive the lane, hit the paint, and kicked the ball out to a shooter on target for an assist. She was able to attack and create off the bounce. Moorehead used a change of pace and attacked for a righty layup. She also drove baseline and drew a foul on the finish. Later in the game Moorehead used a powerful straight line drive to score at the rim.

Makayla Schlorf (2026, G, Tecumseh)

Schlorf impresses me with her game every time that I see her play. She didn't disappoint last night. Her ball handling and decision making were terrific. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw her make a questionable decision with the ball. She had a nice drive across the lane that drew a foul and she earned points at the free throw line. Schlorf used her speed to get out in transition and score and she buried a triple off the catch. She even added a layup off an inbound play. Schlorf turned defense into offense with a steal and score.
