The All Catholic team was announced and the talent on that list of players is astounding. There's top notch veteran next level talent and young stars that we'll see for years to come. We're going to take a look at each player that was named to the All Catholic Team.
Aizlyn Albanese (2025, G/F, Mercy)
Albanese is a uniquely talented player. She can defend with length and challenge shots from anywhere on the floor. Albanese is an electric shooter from behind the arc. She also works really well attacking the rim off the baseline.
Saige Edmondson (2025, F, Gabriel Richard)
Edmondson is a talented and versatile forward. Her combination of strength and ease of movement is very unique. Edmondson can play college level defense already. She's very efficient on offense, getting good looks at the rim and hitting them at a high percentage.
Molly McLeod (2025, G, Marian)
McLeod is a star. Nothing less. Anyone that ranks her outside of the top 75 or so hasn't been doing the job long enough. She's a game changing shooter that can absolutely groove her jumper from behind the arc. Explosive might be a good way to define her shooting abilities.
Charlotte Miller (2025, G, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
Miller HAS to be at the final table for this season's Miss Basketball. Has to. We've talked in length about her basketball skills. She can shoot, faciliate - we all know that. But she's probably an even better leader. Miller is type of teammate and opponent that garners everyone's respect.
Stella Poota (2025, G, Orchard Lake St. Mary's)
Poota has had an excellent senior season and earned her way onto the All Catholic team. She has a quick first step can score of attack mode. Poota has nice touch around the rim and a soft floater. She can pull up in mid range with a tough to defend jumper.
Nina Sims (2025, G, Notre Dame Academy)
Sims and her game scream shooter. She can absolutely fill it up. Sims is dangerous off the catch, but can create her own looks at the rim as well. Sims can handle and move the ball, which can create space for her to get a shot off.
Emily Walker (2025, G, Mercy)
Walker had an excellent senior season. She continued her solid play from the summer, impressing with her ability to play off matchups. Walker showed the ability to put defenders on her hip on the way to the rim, as well as fill it up from beyond the arc.
Cora Williams (2025, F, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
The Indiana State Track and Field commit has long been one of my favorite basketball players. She's so versatile with the way that she can attack with power or precision. Williams is a terrific athlete that can beat a lot of players back and really pressure the D.
Ava Rodriguez (2026, G, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
Rodriguez is a terrific talent. She's much more explosive off the bounce than people realize. I really like the way that she handles the ball and her willingness to move it. Rodriguez is a smart and effective shooter from beyond the arc.
Vanessa Rodriguez (2026, G, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
In the past I've called Rodriguez a big shot taker and big shot maker. That still rings true. She's absolutely fearless and plays the game that way. Rodriguez is a well rounded guard that can both shoot and score, as well as facilitate, at a very high level.
Nina Stevens (2026, G, Toledo Central Catholic)
Stevens is a guard that has been and will be making a lot of noise. She has a well rounded game highlighted by her foot speed. Stevens is an efficient scorer and a sees the floor well, making on target passes. She's a tough player that will chase down boards as well.
Kallie Thames (2026, G, Notre Dame Academy)
Thames definitely earned her way on this team. She's an aggressive defender that will pressure the ball and play passing lanes in order to create turnovers. Thames is a downhill player that can excel in the open floor. She's a solid finisher in transition.
Allie Crighton (2027, G, Orchard Lake St. Mary's)
Crighton is one of the top young stars in the state. She's easily one of the best young shooters. Crighton isn't just a catch and shoot type of player. She can also hit it off the bounce with a tough pull or even step back. All that being said, Crighton will attack with control if a defender gets greedy stepping out on her shot.
Reese Holton (2027, F, Orchard Lake St. Mary's)
Holton is an excellent forward that has an intriguing skill set. I really like the way that she can attack from the mid range. Holton has a pretty mid range jumper that she can actually extend beyond the arc. She can also attack from the high post and finish at the rim.
Naimah Kellum (2027, G, Mercy)
Kellum is an exciting guard talent. She's probably at her best when she goes north-south with the ball in her hands. Kellum has impressive body control that helps her make plays both in the open and floor and in traffic when finishing.
Emersen Holder (2028, G, Regina)
Holder is an elite freshman talent. When I think of Holder's game, the first word that comes to mind is 'handles'. She can put defenders on a string when the ball is in her hands. Holder has various attack moves and knows when and where to use them.
Kenna Hunt (2028, G, Lumen Christi)
Hunt has the look of a national recruiting target. She's a type of player that I love. She can sneaky score 25. Hunt can light up a scoreboard, but can do it in the flow of the offense and the game. She doesn't need to be ball heavy or shot dominant, she just gets the job done.
