Big Seasons For Juniors And Seniors

We are well into high school season and there are some players that are having tremendous seasons. Kamp's Korner is going to give you a handful of juniors and seniors that we think are having truly special seasons and that deserve the credit for it.

Anayya Davis (2025, SF, Henry Ford II)

I think, for whatever reason, some people just don't know how good Davis really is. If she's ranked outside the top 20 in the senior class, they haven't seen her play I guess. Davis has an elite combination of height, length and ball skills. She has a freedom of movement that allows her to smoothly change direction and get downhill at the rim. Davis has been an elite scorer, and along with teammate Tyra Wright, has combined for 1 of the top 1-2 punches in the state.

Allison Metzger (2025, G/F, Holt)

Metzger recently jumped to number 17 on the Holt High School all-time scorers list and is moving in on the all-time wins mark. She has been nothing short of a bucket for Holt. Metzger is a dangerous shooter that can really groove her shot from the outside. Better yet, Metzger has been much improved on highly influential on the defensive side of the floor as well.

Sheridan Beal (2026, SG, West Bloomfield)

Beal has been nothing short of elite this high school season. She should probably be considered one of the most athletic scorers in the state. Beal has consistently broken down defenders off the bounce and has shown that she can attack with both hands. Beal has finished anywhere from the rim to pulling up from behind the arc. There's just nowhere that she can't score from. Watch her play, because her game speed is just different.

Kate Higgins (2026, PF, Rockford)

Rockford is a program dripping with talent, so swiping some press can be hard to do. But let's face it - Every team needs a Kate Higgins. She put the state on notice last year in the state semifinals when she had an 11 point and 13 rebound double-double. That play has continued this season. Higgins is tough and as unselfish as can be. She's willing to play whatever role her team needs in order to get the W.

Xandaija Scott (2026, PF, Lansing Waverly)

Scott has shown that she can flat out dominate the paint, even against high level competition. She has strong hands and concise moves to the rim that allow her to pick up good looks at the rim. Scott can attack with her back to the basket as well as facing the rim from the high post. She has flat out looked like a next level talent.
