All-Final 4 Team And MVP - D2

The Division 2 Final 4 was loaded with great teams and players. In the semifinals, West Catholic staged a furious 2nd half comeback, earning a 54-48 win against Detroit Edison. On the other side of the bracket, Tecumseh also came back with a terrific 2nd half, earning them a 52-43 win against Frankenmuth. In the championship game, West Catholic made a valiant attempt at another comeback victory. But Tecumseh held on with their veterans and their free throw shooting, earning them the state title.

We're going to name a Division 2 1st and 2nd Team All-Final 4, as well as name a D2 Final 4 MVP.

1ST TEAM

Addi Zajac (2027, F/C, Tecumseh)

Zajac might be the most polished underclassman in the state. She averaged a points and rebounds double-double in the Final 4 with 15.5 points per game 13 rebounds per game.

Anna Ignatoski (2025, G, West Catholic)

Ignatoski put on a show in the semifinals with a game high 29 points. Better yet, those points came off of a 59% field goal shooting percentage. Ignatoski led her team in scoring in the finals as well with 12.

Alli Zajac (2025, G/F, Tecumseh)

Zajac fought off foul trouble in the round of 4 finishing with 6 points and 5 boards. She made big plays and big shots in big moments in the championship game, finishing with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Zajac went 8-8 from the free throw line.

Elisha Dykstra (2025, G/F, West Catholic)

Dykstra closed her legendary high school career playing excellent basketball. She averaged 10.5 points per game, 5 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game.

Makayla Schlorf (2026, G, Tecumseh)

Schlorf was incredibly effective in the Final 4. She averaged 9 points per game and added 8 key rebounds in the title game. Schlorf showed her toughness as well, logging 62 of the 64 minutes of Final 4 basketball.

2ND TEAM

Ashlyn Moorehead (2025, G, Tecumseh)

Moorehead scored 14 points in the semifinals and followed that up with 9 points and 5 assists in the championship game. She's another example of a Tecumseh player making big plays in key moments.

Clare Conzelmann (2025, G, Frankenmuth)

Conzelmann played all 32 minutes in the semifinals, scoring a team high 15 points. She added 3 rebounds and 3 blocks to her totals.

Chloe Bullinger (2026, G, Tecumseh)

Bullinger was effective and efficient throughout the Final 4. She averaged 9 points per game while shooting at 60% from the field.

Nichole James (2027, F, Detroit Edison)

James was just electric in the semifinals. She paced her team with 23 points while shooting 10-13.

Alexis Asekomeh (2027, F, West Catholic)

Asekomeh was a steady influence for West Catholic. She averaged 9 points and and 6 rebounds per game in the Final 4.

Isis Johnson-Musah (2025, G, Detroit Edison)

I took 6 2nd team players, because all 6 needed and deserved to be on here. Johnson-Musah was all over the stat sheet in the semis with 12 points, 6 assists, 4 boards and 3 steals.

MVP

I'm going to get creative with this one and name Co-MVP's. I'll give you my reasons why below.

Alli Zajac (2025, G/F, Tecumseh)

Addi Zajac (2027, F/C, Tecumseh)

Here's my mode of thinking - Statistically Addi dominated. You can average a double-double in the 2 biggest games of the season, and maybe even bigger than that. That being said, Alli's leadership, tone setting, and clutch plays make her incredibly valuable to a championship squad.

I'm going to go even deeper into this one. While the Zajac sisters names are above in the MVP slot, we could legitimately name the entire team. From the outside looking in, this has been a close knit group for 4 years now. They've been building to this moment. It really felt like every player on the roster was a critical piece to the championship puzzle.
