The Division 1 Final 4 was loaded with elite players and talent filled teams. In the round of 4, Belleville topped topped an upstart West Bloomfield squad 60-55 while Rockford jumpstarted their way to a 61-42 victory against Wayne Memorial. In the finals, Belleville used a mid game run to pull away for a 61-48 win against a tremendous Rockford team.
We're going to name a Division 1 1st and 2nd Team All-Final 4, as well as name a D1 Final 4 MVP.
Sydney Savoury (2027, G, Belleville)
Savoury quite simply dominated the Final 4. She had some staggering 2 game averages. Savoury averaged 21.5 points per game, 8 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game.
Anna Wypych (2025, G, Rockford)
Wypych showed why she'll be a legend in the state for decades to come. In the semifinals she scored 30 points on 80% shooting from the floor. Wypych followed that up with 26 on 9-15 in the finals.
Se'Crette Carter (2026, G, Belleville)
Carter was a sparkplug for Belleville. She averaged 15 points a game in Final 4 play . Carter hit some big triples and she did it with efficiency, shooting triples at a 47% rate in the final 2 games.
Audrey Muterspaugh (2026, G/F, Rockford)
Muterspaugh was a big reason that Rockford made another state title game. She had a 12 point and 13 rebound double-double in the semifinals. Muterspaugh added 3 assists in that game.
Paisley Stephens (2028, G, Belleville)
Stephens just did everything well for Belleville. She handled and initiated often and was a steady scorer in the Final 4, finishing with 10 points both games. Stephens averaged 3.5 assists as well.
Iyana Stephens (2025, F/C, Belleville)
Stephens was outstanding the in the Final 4. She was quite possibly the best rebounder in the D1 Final 4, averaging 8.5 boards in the 2 games.
Colleena Bryant (2025, G, Wayne Memorial)
Bryant will be a PG that we'll be talking about for a long time. She led and paced her Wayne Memorial team, finishing with team highs in points and assists, finishing with 15 and 7.
Rylan Buschell (2025, G, Belleville)
Buschell is an underrated guard that played a big role in Belleville being crowned champions. She did what PG's do and led her team in assists in both Final 4 games, with 5 in the semis and 6 in the title game.
Breasia Gamble-Jones (2025, G/F, West Bloomfield)
Gamble-Jones was in attack mode in the semifinals and it led to her having an excellent game. She finished with 17 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds. All 3 were at least tied for team highs.
Sheridan Beal (2026, G, West Bloomfield)
Beal showed her top notch talent in the semifinals. She had 17 points, 9 of which came off triples. She helped her team shush the doubters and get back to the Breslin Center.
Sydney Savoury (2027, G, Belleville)
Savoury doesn't just put up big numbers. She plays the game the right way. The winning way. She just has the talent to back that style up with big numbers. Savoury was simply a step ahead throughout the Final 4. And she's a SOPHOMORE. That's a scary thought - the D1 Final 4 MVP has 2 more years.
