There is a lot of high level basketball talent in Michigan. This means that there will consistently be exciting next level commitments throughout the state.
Claire Conzelmann (2025, SG, Frankenmuth)
- Committed to Lake Superior State
Lake State just received a commitment from one of the top defensive wings in the senior class. Defense generally transfers to the next level and that's a good sign for the next 4 years. Conzelmann reads the passer and attacks the passing lanes.
Izzy Nooe (2025, PG, South Lyon)
- Committed to Bethel University
Nooe is a perfect example of improvement earning results. She's just kept getting better. Nooe is a multifaceted lead guard that can distribute on the move as well as stick a jumper from all levels. Nooe plays bigger and tougher than her height.
Josie DeSmit (2025, PG, Hudsonville)
- Committed to Hope College
DeSmit was meant to be a point guard, you can just tell. She's a leader, both in words and actions on the basketball court. DeSmit has an impressive combination of offensive patience and physicality. She can finish at the rim as well as pull up from mid range.
Makayla Schlorf (2026, PG, Tecumseh)
- Committed to Saginaw Valley State University
SVSU has something here. Schlorf has always been talented, but I feel like the best is still yet to come for this star. She's an elite shooter. Always has been. But Schlorf has improved dramatically in her ability to push the pace and be dynamic off the bounce.
Grace McKinney (2025, SF, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
- Committed to Hillsdale College
McKinney is another player that provides proof that college coaches will recruit defense. Don't get me wrong, McKinney is incredibly efficient and effective player, and a next level player, offensively. But her defense really stands out to me. McKinney has a very high defensive IQ and can defend all over the floor.
