2026 Player Rankings - PG's For Days

If you look at the Kamp's Korner player rankings for the class of 2026, it's easy to notice that there is a generous amount of talent at the PG position. It could be said that there are "PG's for days"! We're going to take a quick look at each lead guard in the top 25 (we won't include players that we have listed as CG's).

Kendyl Smith (Flint Powers Catholic, #2)

Smith came into high school near the top and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I believe that the Central Michigan commit is still underrated at times. She's a high IQ player and leader. Smith is a consistently on target passer.

Cece Bonner (Muskegon, #5)

Bonner's game really hit stride this summer during grassroots season. She's an electric ball handler that can really attack her defender and attack the rim off the bounce. Bonner is a playmaker with the ball that can touch the paint at any time.

Mariah Cross (Wayne Memorial, #9)

Cross is a supremely talented guard. Another in what is a tradition at Wayne Memorial. She is fast as fast can be and has the mindset and speed to beat the defense down the floor. Fittingly, Cross plays at a high speed on both ends of the floor.

Gabby Foster (Ferndale, #10)

Foster deserves so much recognition for her game. She played up during grassroots season and was STILL an elite lead guard. Her handles are top notch and she can attack the defense with both hands. Foster is a terrific playmaker that can put her defender on her hip.

Vanessa Rodriguez (Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, #11)

Rodriguez is one of the funnest PG's to watch in Michigan. She has in the gym type of range on her jumper and can catch fire from deep. Rodriguez is underestimated as a ball handler and creator. She can find lanes to the rim and slip by defenders with ease.

Ava Rodriguez (Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, #13)

The injury is past Ava Rodriguez and she's ready to go off this season. She's an elite shooter that needs minimal time or space to get off a clean look. Quite frankly, she shoots like an elite lead guard and handles like a top notch floor general.

Kayla Hairston (Goodrich, #20)

Hairston had an excellent high school season and followed it up with a head turning grassroots campaign. She's developed into one of the better pure passers in the state of Michigan. Hairston can pass on the go and hits her target consistently.

Makayla Schlorf (Tecumseh, #23)

I LOVE the way that Schlorf has developed her game since she came into high school. She's always been a top notch shooter, but she brings way more to the table entering her junior season. Schlorf is comfortable playing at a next level speed and can handle the ball in traffic.

Lilly Thelen (Portland, #24)

Thelen is an underrated guard with a big time game. I've seen go to work and cause a stir in front of college coaches. She has the mindset of a college basketball player. Thelen does everything with efficiency, from get buckets at all 3 levels to initiating the offense with ball movement.
