Kamp's Korner CFP Rankings

The college football season is currently winding down for some and heating up for a few. With some big games yesterday, Kamp's Korner has decided to give our opinion on the current college football playoff projections.

1:  Michigan

The knock on them at the beginning was "they haven't played anybody". That statement no longer flies as the Wolverines have faced both quality teams and elite teams, including 2 top 10 wins, over the last 3 weeks. They look like a team on a mission.

2:  Georgia

When I woke up yesterday I would have had Georgia in the first spot. But Carson Beck is human and Michigan will stop the run much better than Georgia Tech did yesterday.

3:  Washington

With one of the best quarterbacks in the country throwing to one of the best receiving corps in the country, Washington has the look of a national championship contender. It took a last second field goal in the Apple Cup to stay undefeated, but I think Washington State is better than a 5-7 football team.

4:  Florida State

FSU lost one of the best QB's in the country and probably lost a realistic chance at winning the national title. But they're undefeated and if they stay that way, I'll leave them in the top 4. Verse will have to dominate on the defensive end against Louisville next week.

5:  Ohio State

We've reached the 1 loss teams and I'm going to go with quality of loss. No other 1 loss team has a "better" loss than the Buckeyes. They lost on the road to a top 2 ranked team at worst, and the game was more than competitive.

6:  Oregon

I'm willing to listen to arguments that Oregon is the best team in the country right now. They dominated a pretty decent Oregon State team yesterday. But making the college football playoffs sometimes takes a little bit of timing and luck. And their loss was at a tough time to an opponent that's also in the hunt for a playoff spot. Beat Washington next week and things could change.

7:  Texas

Texas made a pretty loud statement with their 57-7 dismantling of Texas Tech over the weekend. They will still have to scoreboard watch even with a win over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship game.

8:  Alabama

Alabama has a nice collection of quality wins this season, but the early loss to Texas is still hanging over their heads. Can they still do it? Yes, but they'd a lot of next week's results to fall their way.
